Where the Roasting Began
For me, coffee has always meant home, heritage, and tradition.
Growing up in Puerto Rico, my earliest memories were shaped by the warmth and aroma of my mother’s freshly brewed coffee every morning. Years later, while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, my military service took me to 27 different countries, opening my eyes to unique coffee cultures and preparation styles around the globe.
After settling in North Carolina over 15 years ago, I turned my lifelong love for coffee into a daily ritual, one rooted in intentionality, family, and the simple joy of starting the day with a memorable cup. Together with my wife Patty, we founded The Sentry House Coffee (TM).

Our Mission
We roast in small batches, profiling each bean to unlock its unique aromatic potential. From the bright acidity of Ethiopian heirloom varieties to the deep chocolate notes of Guatemalan single origins, our approach preserves the story of the bean.

At Sentry House Coffee, our mission is simple:
Make good coffee that carries a story. Every roast is a tribute to the courage of our veterans and the rich soul of Puerto Rican heritage, honoring both in every cup. Our coffee is thoughtfully crafted and sourced from around the globe.
